The Nolachuckey Chapter, NSDAR, offers two different annual scholarships at the local level. Eligibility requirements for the two scholarships vary. At the beginning of each calendar year, the scholarship applications are made available to the public and are provided to all Greeneville and Greene County high schools.
Carrie McGaughey Clemens Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at Tusculum University.
- Applicant must be in good academic standing.
- Collegiate degree should not be anticipated during the academic year in which the application is submitted.
- Earning the scholarship in a previous year does not preclude the awardee from applying in a subsequent year.
Application Requirements
- Application form
- Two academic recommendations (from either college/high school, as appropriate)
- One community reference from an agency or community member
- First-semester transcript (from previously completed semester)
Mary Hurley Wells Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited university.
- Applicant must be in good academic standing.
- Collegiate degree should not be anticipated during the academic year in which the application is submitted.
- Earning the scholarship in a previous year does not preclude the awardee from applying in a subsequent year.
