The Colonel Joseph Hardin Chapter NSDAR worked with various groups to make the Savannah Veterans Park come to fruition. Colonel Joseph Hardin member, Yvonne Hanna, and her family, donated the land the park was built upon. The chapter members worked diligently selling brick pavers that honor veterans which helped to fund the beautiful American Revolutionary War Monument. Additionally, a matching grant was applied for and granted by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. This park is a great point of pride for all Hardin Countians and most especially the Colonel Joseph Hardin Chapter NSDAR.

Cemetery Cleanup
Prospect Cemetery
November 2014, members of the Colonel Joseph Hardin Chapter NSDAR joined together to work on the cleanup of the Prospect Cemetery. Located in the Walnut Grove Community, Prospect Cemetery had been neglected for several years due to the passing of the community volunteer that had previously been maintaining the upkeep. Many of the members were joined by their HODARS who helped with mowers, blowers, and weed eaters.
