Welcome!
The Chucalissa Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) is a Memphis, Tennessee, area chapter. Our members are a vibrant and diverse group of women who share a common bond of having an ancestor who helped secure American independence. We are passionate about community service, preserving history, and honoring those who have served our nation.
Serving Memphis
since 1966

In 1890, the DAR was founded with a three-part mission: preserve our cultural heritage, support education and scholarships, and foster patriotism. In addition to promoting the objectives of NSDAR, our chapter supports statewide Tennessee Society Daughters of the Revolution (TSDAR) service projects.
Historic Preservation
Our members recognize the importance of preserving history for future generations by working to preserve genealogical data and ancestry, supporting various historic sites in Tennessee, and celebrating commemorative events.
Education
We support several Shelby County area schools throughout the year with our Community Classroom Committee initiative. Our members are also actively involved in promoting literacy and supporting local libraries through volunteer work and service projects.
Patriotism
We honor patriotism through service projects designed to support our active-duty military and veterans. Our chapter programs and meetings provide opportunities throughout the year to learn more about supporting veterans, history, and heritage.
